About Me.
My name is Elian Callejas Otero, and I am a video game programmer and designer with a strong focus on gameplay systems and interactive mechanics. I currently serve as Lead Programmer at EMP Studios and am in my fourth year of a bachelor’s degree in Video Game Design and Development at Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico.
My work centers on transforming ideas into functional code, engaging gameplay, thoughtful system design, and iterative development. I enjoy working on the technical backbone of games. Designing mechanics, refining player interaction, and ensuring systems are reliable, modular, and expandable.
Beyond game development, I hold leadership roles that connect creativity with community. Since Fall 2025, I have served as President of the Student Council, where I engage in initiatives that support academic growth, student advocacy, and community involvement. This experience has strengthened my ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and balance technical execution with organizational responsibility.
I am driven by collaboration, problem-solving, and the belief that great games are built at the intersection of technology, creativity, and people. Whether working on a studio project or a collaborative team effort, I aim to create meaningful experiences that leave a lasting impact.
